WOW

I can't believe there is no active message board for such a horrible movie!

No kidding - I think "Andy", from the comments page, was related to someone in it.

I found it on Starz - what an insult. I watched the first few minutes then had to shut it off. I knew with Ice-T in it that it would be rather bad, but this was too low.

Who makes these movies?

reply

I found this very amusing. As the cast consists are several of the worst actors in the genre as well as being basically a remake of a terrible Albert Pyun film, CYBORG. Vincent Klyn is hilariously bad, plain and simple. However, it is better than the original Cyborg pile of crap as the production values aren't as lousy and the acting on a whole wasn't as bad. I did find it 100% painless to sit through and would recommend it to anybody who wants to see a "so bad it's entertaining" movie.

Really? I may have to go back and watch this again, but i'm not sure
my stomach could take it.

I watched the first 5 minutes, and ...oh man...it was just SO bad. heheh
I didnt really find it to be one of those "So bad it's entertaining" types,
but like i said...i only watched the very begining.

And are you talking about the 'Cyborg' with Van Damme?
That was pretty low budget i'll admit, but i thought it was ok. Certainly
a little better than this one.
:O)

It's not that I'm lazy, it's that I just don't care.

reply

Yeah, that's the Cyborg I'm talking about. Gangland is basically a remake of that without any "Cyborg". As it's almost exactly the same plot about a plague and one scientist who has developed a cure for it and an evil gang who wants control of the cure to become "invincible". The villain is also played by the same "actor" as in Cyborg, Vincent Klyn and the on the description of the UK DVD release it describes it as "A swashbuckling action adventure at its finest in the vein of Road Warrior and Cyborg...". Oddly enough Gangland also has Tim Thomerson and Sasha Mitchell in the cast, both of which have appeared in several Albert Pyun (the director of Cyborg) films.

reply

Hehehe!!!
"A swashbuckling action adventure..."
:O)
That's pretty funny!

Yeah, i guess i didnt get far enough into 'Gangland' to know what
the plot was.
I did like the villian in Cyborg though...Vincent Klyn?

Did the 'hero' of Gangland know martial arts too?
:O)

I agree with bn38416. Cyborg is a lot better than Gangland. Cyborg had better atmosphere & fighting. It's a good thing they got someone else to do Klyn's lines in Cyborg. Because of that, his character was actually badass. He was a clown in Gangland, ha ha! Gangland was terrible. I wouldn't watch it again even for laughs.

DISPLAY thy breasts, my Julia!
