A very nice B-Movie
In terms of B-movie judgement I would give it 7 from 10.
I purchased the UK-DVD several years ago in Glasgow. On that edition is a interesting audiocommentary. Director Oblowitz names the influences and paragons for that movie. Terry Gilliams "Brazil", John Woo Action Sequences and second worldwar horrors. In loving memory to his jewish grandfather, who was chased by the nazis, he stages the vampires like a endangered species, hunted by the humans, living in vampire- ghettos. I found that pretty freaky. Finally Oblowitz flavoured his genre mix with a dark thirties look, where ever the small budget made it possible.
Maybe its far away from beeing a perfect movie, but its perfectly filled with creative ideas.
