Julia's hair looks bad

Has anyone else noticed that her hair looks like a badly-combed wig by the end of the movie? someone should have done something about that. It looks terrible.

reply

meh who cares its not like your hair is super perfect all the time huh

reply

i admit it did look weird but she's not supposed to be a knockout in the movie anyway.

reply

I haven't noticed that. Then again I thought it looked pretty good even though I did pay much attention to her hair at the end.

"Legally Blonde" is another great comedy but at the end, the bad lighting gives Reese Witherspoon a bad look at the end. She looks all strawberry and ugh...

Whatever, both this and "Legally Blonde" (and I'm talking about the first one) are great movies!!!

reply

Reese's hair was a wig at the end of the movie because she had already changed her hair for another film, the last parts were added on after the film had been finished.

reply

i don't think her hair looks bad at all. I think it looks nice

Future Mrs. George Clooney =D

reply

Lol, I actually thought it looked particularly good in this movie, usually I don't think much of it.

Hi, I was the boom operator on the picture.

Julia's hair looks different because re-shoots were done after she'd dyed her hair for (and completed her brief work in) "Ocean's 11."

They did a single day of "Sweethearts" pick-ups, mostly the tent/junket thing. We originally did a long walk and talk with Catherine and Julia as they exited the "tent," but Joe shot brief new pieces to replace it. So, that's why her hair looks different; Julia wanted to get it done and go home. They did some nominal work on her "do," and it looked how it looked.

I'd have to watch it again to recall what else was taken out. I haven't seen it since the cast/crew screening. The original ending had John and Julia driving away together in a taxi. If Joe dropped that, he had to change the walk and talk I mentioned. Billy was unhappy about just about everything, anyway. ("You don't shoot comedy wide-screen!")

I had moved on to "Dark Blue" but strangely enough, both companies were shooting at the same stages when Julia and the rest blew in to bang out the re-shoots.

Hope that helps. Does anybody ever check back to see if their question has been answered?

reply

yeah i've ALWAYS noticed that! I was wondering if there were re-takes done.

It doesn't look good... kindof stringy.

reply

I think JR always looks awful with her hair up or short. Except for when she played Tinkerbell in "Hook". I liked her hair then. Otherwise, I think she should leave it long and DOWN.

You are so BAD!!! Come sit next to me.

reply

Her hair looked like straw. Like it had been badly dyed or it was a bad wig. I guess the explanation of reshoots pretty much sums up why it looked like that.
