100 girls...Girl Fever?

I saw Girl Fever on cable a few nights ago although i think the channel refferd to it as 100 WOMEN..? Anyways when i was watching it i couldnt help but think how similar it was to the movie 100 GIRLS. So now i go to imdb and i find out that they were directed by the same person. So i guess my question is why did Michael Davis make 2 movies, back to back, so similar to eachother?..i'm pretty intrested in the answer actually.

I feel like being nice today, so I will give you the lowdown. It's basically a sequel to 100 Girls. Not really a sequel, but more of an expansion of the idea. Only this time with women, instead of girls. It takes basic ideas from Eight Days a week, and from 100 Girls. It's the last in Davis' trilogy of young romance.

First off, who the hell are you reduxdewill? Unless you are somehow connected to M. Davis or the movie in some way deeper than just having watched it, you got no guns coming in saying you will answer cause you feel nice. Second, 100 women is no sequel. it's the same god damned movie again. I don't even think you can call it an expansion of an idea. The women in this movie and the girls from 100 girls are the same age. I know one is set in college but man if I could find a college filled with girls who look like that I'd be back in school in a minute. I can't think of one reason that would justify remaking your own movie. And don't get me wrong, I like 100 girls, but I thought that remaking it and barely even changing the name was about the dumbest thing I have ever seen a film maker do. Now that being said, I'm feeling nice today, but pretentious cretins like yourself end my good mood real fast.

Ypu're 100% right about reduxdewill; he has his head up his rectum. I liked both of these movies, but no doubt about it, 100 Women is the much better of the two. And personally I really don't see anything inherently wrong in re-making a movie if you do a better job the second time around. And lets face it, 100 Women at least has a few laugh-out-loud moments, which is more than I can say for 100 Girls.

My thoughts exactly...... 100 Girls redone better!

It baffles me that any of you can point out anything positive about 100 Women. It is a complete piece of s h i t.

reply

It is the last in Davis' trilogy of contempt-for-everything-male, female-glorification movies?

Thank god for that!

reply

I have to disagree. I liked 100 Girls much better.

hi i recently saw the movie, do you know what the song at the end of the movie is? some of the lyrics that are repeated are "a or 2000 thousand kisses"

reply

In the beginning of each movie, having the potential to be good, only to turn out to be some kind of womanist propoganda. A male bashing movie from a male feminist. The old cliche (old since the 1950s) girl good, testosterone bad. Telling the viewers the world would be much better off without men. And then trying to turn it into a love story. With the male forgetting that he was the one getting played the entire time.

reply

Where did you get the idea that either of these movies is feminist? They are profoundly anti-feminist in every way. And anti-male to boot. Without seeming to think they are either.

This movie sucked

This is now like one of my favorite movies, I thought it was amazing, the love for the girl and everything is awesome, and i just want to have that with my girl...

I just watched it and i have to say it has all the hallmarks of a bad movie. The acting is decent at best, the soundtrack is lame (2000 thousand kisses), the plot twists generally are either over the top, predictable or silly, everything was over directed (the scenes with the paper blowing around especially), and the ending is both sappy and obvious. Yet, I thought it was a decent enough movie. It had a couple of good moments, the dialogue wasn't exactly true to life, but it was somewhat original, the gross out moments were fun and campy and the lead was likable. If it wasn't for the "artist" theme featuring the worst art I have ever seen this movie would be a inexplicable 6, instead it is a 5, all the bad and the good making it an average movie.

reply

What are you talking about, the soundtrack was bad?? I love 2000 kisses!!! I thought it was a cute song. Is it just me?

If you watch the trailer for this movie on IMDB it says it's the sequel to 100 Girls.

Some people (LIKE ME) need to dream a little bit, it may be only movies and it may never happen in real life, but when you are either a nerd, a fat guy or simply an ordinary dude without something special, you need to have these movies about a guy like you scoring with a nice chick. Sure like i said it may be only a movie, but hey NEWS FLASH, BATMAN ISN'T REAL EITHER, and people love the movie what so ever... So see these movie as not a real life story, but as a MOVIE with unrealistic thing happening but that can please a certain audience.

It's basically 100 Girls with different casting and slightly *beep* writing. They even took dialogue from one and did it again on the other, but slightly different. Nothing beats the titty twister battle from 100 Girls.
