Ummm..very underrated? *spoiler*

I thought this was an excellent movie. Very entertaining from start to finish with great characters. Gosling was chilling as the charming killer. Pitt & Bullock's performances were also top notch.

Completely agree with you on all points. I don't understand all of the negative comments that this good film receives.

IMO, this is one of Gosling's best performances. Before he hit it big, his acting was more natural and organic. It felt real. I still love him but now that he is considered a serious actor, whenever he's on screen you just think "ACTING! Look at me acting!" If that makes any sense. To me, this was his most unaffected performances. He was so believable and played the charming sociopath to perfection. Like a young Ted Bundy.

One flew east, one flew west. One flew over the cuckoo's nest.

I agree, Ryan was very good in the role. I think he excels in playing troubled, complex characters, and 'Murder by Numbers' is still my favourite out of all of his early movies.

Better than Insomnia.

There's something wrong with Esther.
