Here's why Justin should've realized Lisa was a slut

Early in the film when they're in class together, Lisa leans over and says to Justin "you really need to get laid" - only a promiscuous girl would talk like that- especially since they were only in high school - that should've tipped him off right there - later in the movie he defends her to richard saying she's not a slut- someone as smart as him should've been able to figure out something that simple

That long-winded story had nothing to do with my post though- and to be honest, sleeping with someone when you're only in the 9th grade and your barely know him IS slutty

Everyone has different opinions on what is slutty or how long someone should wait to have sex- bottom line is that having sex at that age (i'm guessing you were 13 or 14) is very young

There were a few girls I knew in HS who I wish had leaned over and told me something like that!

The expression "you need to get laid" is used as an insult. It's basically telling the person that they have a problem due to sexual frustration. When someone says that, it's not an invitation to have sex, LOL.

I don't know- if someone says "you need to get laid" it can mean a number of things-- it can literally mean you need to get laid or it can be an invitation depending on who says it. If I told a guy they needed to get laid it would literally mean they need to get laid as it would release the stress they are under but different people have different meanings or agendas when dealing with someone.

I think that teenage girls should not be labeled as sluts- if they are being slutty their friends and family should have an intervention instead of encourage such behavior. Usually if a teenage girl is slutty it is due to either drug use or her home life. Divorce would be one of the top reasons teenage girls become slutty.

Telling someone they need to get laid can mean a number of things and my impression from the movie is she did not mean it in a nasty insultive manner.

Would you watch a Murder by Numbers 2?

Oh, really? And who gets to decide if a girl (and why is it always the girl?)is being "slutty"? What is the cut off for partners that she's allowed before she becomes a "slut"?
An intervention? Seriously? Perhaps people should mind their own business.

Slutty is slutty.

Here is a movie about the cold-blooded, vicious murder of a woman by two very obvious sociopaths, and the top post to it being whether a secondary character in a movie was "a slut". And this, despite the fact that a man who'd make the same remark won't even be commented on.
Now this speaks volumes about the modern society, its morale and its priorities. Thousands of years of human existence, no development whatsoever.
