Termina-Link

Almost everyone from Hyrule has like a twin or clone in this world? So if that so, wheres Link? he must be somewhere, or Did he went to Hyrule at the very same as our own Link visited Termina?

There not clones. Nintendo just used some of the same character models from OoT. Just lazy if you ask me.

I see gay people....

More like PARALLEL UNIVERSE

reply

I don't think it was laziness, but I don't think it was a parallel universe. I'm pretty sure it's just a fun little thing for Zelda fans to match up the OoT and MM "clones".

You can't argue with my logic! Well, you can, but I won't listen!

not really clones but alter egos, Link's (if you see the Anju goron cutscene) is a Goron... Odd is'int it?

In Termina, I didn't see any look alikes of the following characters (from Ocarina of Time):

-Saria
-Darunia
-Princess Ruto (kid and adult)
-Impa
-Nabooru
-Raaru
-Mido
-The Kokiri children
-Shiek
-The father from the cursed rich family (I saw look alikes of his kids)
-The Potion Shop guy
-The guy who lived in Impa's house
-Ganondorf

I think it would have been cool to see a look alike of Ganondorf. Who agrees with me?

I was playing this dozens of times...and I thought (as a joke), it would have been funny if Link went up to someone (who appeared in both Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask) in Termina and asked him/her "Do you have a relative in Hyrule?"

It's been a long time since I've last played any of the games (MM and OoT), but isn't adult Ruto the singer of that zora band?

And I THINK saria is on top of something at the Clock Town... a tower where we can only reach with a chicken... There's someone in a place like that, I think it's her... sorry, I cannot tell which of the parts of the city it is.

It was a parllel universe. That was made very clear at the beginning of the game. It was also Nintendo taking a shortcut so the game could be out in 2 years in time to still be on a thriving (I use that word loosley) Nintendo 64.

It was worth it, as they delivered one of the greatest games ever made, hands down.

reply

its is a parllel universe that is clear from the start i think that this world has a differnt time to OOT look how young ganon is when you c him so i think link and zelda would not have been born yet but would be in the future to stop a grown up ganan from taking over this world

reply

If Ganondorf's alter-ego was in Termina, it would be halarious if he was a good guy! I can picture him being like a big woos or something!

A look-alike of the adult Princess Ruto was in Termina though. Lulu looked just like Princess Ruto, except that she was wearing a blue dress.

Most of the people on that list are crucial to the plot of Ocarina of Time. I think they just were creating parallels for the every day people. And it was made parallel when Link walked through the tunnel in the beginning and it flipped upsidedown. I think that signified that he was somewhere else.

Well, there was no Princess Ruto child look-a-like but sure as hell there was an adult one!

I'm LuvableBaka. I like to run around in circles! What do YOU like to do?

I alwats thought that the goron named LINK in the "hotel", was the son of Darunia from Ocarina of Time (remember that he named his son after Link, the hero of time).

He may have travelled through the same "black hole".. or whatever lead link to Termina.

I love Majora's Mask, the most different Zelda Videogame... and the Most DIFFICULT without a doubt.

Wasn't the head pirate at Great Bay Nabooru? I'm pretty sure it was her base, just with different clothes.

the guys who make your sword stronger in the mountains...do they have a hyrulian counterpart?

CAN HYRULE'S DESTINY REALLY DEPEND ON SUCH A LAZY BOY?

DeaconFrost got it right.

NOT a parallel universe.

LAZINESS involved in the making.

Zelda creators have stated this.

reply

How is it made painfully clear? The manual calls it a kind of "parallel world" and you meet doubles of dozens of familiar faces. It wasn't just made up: it was part of the premise of the game! While it is a sequel, that doesn't mean it's not a parallel world. Laziness might be the out of game reason, but the in-game explanation is it's a parallel world.

It's like a lottery that rewards stupidity.

American translators maybe? The game NEVER indicates that Termina is a parallel land to Hyrule. And due to in-game consistencies, Termina is clearly established separate (talk to the Goron freezing on top of some ice in Mountain Village (his dialogue)), listen to Grandma's stories at the Inn for a backstory, and compare every character within both games... it doesn't add up.

Link went from the Kokiri Forest to the Lost Woods, fell down a hole, saw some trippy stuff, then met the Happy Salesmen or whatever his name is in Termina (he's fine, he's chillin'). End of story. No one gets it.

Read the booklet. "This is a kind of parallel world that is similar to and yet different from Hyrule..." is on page 6 (Welcome to Termina)in the original game booklet. Sorry, you're wrong, it's literally all there in the manual.

That said, definitely no native Link or Zelda variation in this world.
