These scared me as well. I found it really hard to actually fend them off since I was intimidated by them :P

Wear the bunny hood, and follow the dog. The trick is to kill off the closest aliens, first. The dog barks at the the closest one. Whatever you do, don't use Epona. Epona is to hard to steer whilst shooting arrows. You can slow down time to make the aliens move faster, but I prefer having the time set normal and getting it over with.
