The mole girl

So apparently this show was cancelled 7 years ago. I don't care. I still want to make this thread. There was an episode where one of the guys meets a girl who has a mole on her face. The mole was supposed to be a test, if a guy could love her despite the mole, then he's "worthy". so the guy is dating her beyond despite, in spite of the mole he loves being with her, but the mind games she and her family play on him almost destroy him. I think it's funny. He ends up trying to run away not because she has a mole, but because they are trying to shove marriage down his throat. He never manages to articulate this as they barrage him with insults and revelations, all he wanted was a normal relationship. It's as if the writers intended to show the futility, and almost evil nature of this woman with her mole, as she derides the guy for not wanting to marry, but the show never quite admits it, and leaves it on such a base note. That was definitely the most profound episode I saw. One of the most profound episodes of any show I've ever seen and the only reason I never forgot this show.

The cynical nature of it isn't lost, this woman goes through all this trouble, only to crap all over the supposedly only decent guy she's ever met, and in the mean time, this guy who's never been laid could have spent 1/100000000th the time schmoozing a much hotter chick who had no hangups and banged her till morning come. This one episode could have stood alone as an independent film, nothing else was significant about the series. Nothing else mattered. Happiness is the key, and all the "efforts" of these characters were for not. They were a waste, they were counter-happiness.

I like your interpretation of this episode but pretty much all episodes were awesome.
