The Gipson character SLJ ==> that ridiculous vindictive speech about Tiger Woods ?? LOL too bad there was no punch line yet in 2002.
Speaking of being a Father .. even with all his millions, Tiger Woods could still never be a DECENT husband and FAMILY MAN. ! Sad.

I'm talking about the IRONY of such comment/statement about Tiger Woods.
Script writers in 2002 must have felt so safe portraying him as an image of perfection!
Who knew the 'perfect athlete' would be a sick scumbag hiring high-priced prostitutes. Loyal husband and father huh.
and the nerve to criticize "white fathers" ! Nice try.

I really have to say that is an extremely poor deduction.

He (she?) was talking about Tiger Woods vs. the fat cats on wall street - NOT his (her?) girlfriend OR dad. You're comparing apples and oranges, not just that - you're leaping into a personal attack based on this illogical train of thought.

When I was a kid, we were taught two wrongs don't make a right. That has stuck with me for decades. It really helps one not to go bat *beep* crazy at times like this. I think these two were taught the same thing and finally came to realize it. Has times changed that much that one verbal attack deserves another now?

What have we become? Not what the characters in this movie became. Maybe you should watch the movie again and possibly get the message offered. Or not. Maybe you need to be in this type situation in real life to get the lesson and for it to take.

I believe "Fat White Fathers" was used as a metaphor for rich, powerful and entitled. As not all rich, powerful and entitled white fathers are fat, very few fat black fathers are rich, powerful and entitled.
