Toni Collette over Amanda Peet?

I can kind of see the attraction to Toni but Amanda Peet is just gorgeous! Seeing Ben Affleck cheat on this hottie was probably the strangest thing about this movie.

toni can be hot. its more of an english kind of sexiness though.

english kind of sexiness? Well being English myself thats kind of an insult. I know English women seem to suffer a bad rep in the US, ugly...bad teeth. Im sure theres some people who thing french women dont shave their pits either.

As for the attraction to her. his wife was a snob and a bitch who would rather her husband be dihonest and rich thatn do the right thing and bring in a moderate wage. Toni was a better person and someone who he was able to confide in. Overall I think this was a well cast film.

Hi,

Yea, but they aren't plastic idiot blonds with fake tits (well, Pinder may have fakes), and that seems to be what most yanks love above all else.

Did you ever notice that people who believe in creationism look really un-evolved?

have you ever heard of this old chest nut: "looks can be deceiving"?

Only Ben Affleck and his characters are capable of being so stupid.

I'm australian so I guess I'm sexy too huh.

Affairs aren't only about physical attractiveness. Other things come into play.
Besides, she looke pretty good to me and seemed to be a much more interesting person.

That was the first thought on my mind when I started watching this movie, Computer_Stud. Before the Amanda Peet character was introduced, I was like, "When are we gonna see her?" lol

I personally thought Peet looked better in other things, most notably "Saving Silverman", but I've known married men who were married to attractive women contemplate or actually have affairs with women arguably less attractive.

I've seen it time and time again. I personally liked Peet's character's straight-talking on lawyers and guys and so forth. That's something I appreciate (as well as her matter-of-factly stating she knew of Affleck's affair, lol).

You guys are missing the point.

It's not Toni Collette OVER Amanda Peet.

It's Tony Collette PLUS Amanda Peet.

He was never going to leave his wife for Toni Collette's character. So it was a matter of having Amanda Peet at home PLUS getting Toni Collette on the side.

It's about getting more, not getting instead.

/\ Absolutely spot on, trans.

Toni was there every day. She was attractive, smart, shared his interests
His wife was shallow.

^^This. Peet's character was definitely more shallow. Toni's character really cared for Affleck and his interests. Both women are very attractive though.

I agree.

I'd also switched the roles.

But then again, they want more famous actors to be female leads. Peet wasn't that famous then. Collette was.

Life is like a beautiful melody, only the lyrics are messed up.

Toni is good looking enough in other movies but in this one she looked very boyish. Its amazing that ben's character cheated WITH her!
