They obviously had an affair in the past and there was clearly still an attraction between them both, he didn't love his wife and there was no chemistry.

People on this board are saying the wife is more attractive, i disagree, well she has nice eyes, but apart from that she is a complete bore and he seemed bored with her, the marriage looked more like an arranged marriage - what the wife was saying to him and the way she was saying it proves that as well as her speech delivery being creepy. Maybe he did love her at one point, but not anymore.

The short haired blonde woman was more attractive and her and Gavin had better energy together, they were both lively. Whereas the wife actually seemed like she was depressed, her energy was awful and very low.

It doesn't sound very nice, but i couldn't help but wish the writers had him leave and divorce the wife and go off with the female work colleague where they could start their own business firm.
