Moral of the story is

We're all human beings just trying our best to be the best person we can be, take care of our families, be good at our jobs, deal with daily crap and *beep* that comes our way, and still be sane human beings trying to live amongst other people who are going through the same motions.

If you were to view the other person from only side of the perspective, it would appear that one guy was the good guy and the other was the bad. If you switched lens and perspectives, the roles would be reversed. But since we, the audience, had the benefit of seeing both perspectives from a 3rd person perspective, we can see that this is case where both men were good people who unfortunately attacked each other, not realizing they were kindred spirits in life.

I'm not saying that everyone you come across and have problems with is a good person too who you just happened to come in conflict with on a bad day, but I think we should remember that the people we think are our enemies, in fact, are more similar to you and probably want the same thing you do.

Yes, I made a comment on a different thread about how it does not much even matter if Samuel Jackson's wife takes him back and why I feel that way.

I love how they both forgave each other, almost became friends and even though they are flawed learned important lessons and became better people and managed to salvage their lives. As much cruelty and negativity as most of the movie had it ended on a morally and ethically positive note. I really like that.

I agree. I also liked the fact it didn't end in an average revenge movie fasion.
