unrealistic scene...... if he really was a cop he would have yelled to the other cop to put the gun away right away. not just walk around like it wasn't even there........ and the character played by hanks would also have thought it was very weird behavior .
sorry, this scene does not hold up........ just like hank's accent that comes and goes through the movie

i can agree. while i did enjoy the scene, it would never really happen.

I have to disagree. You would be right had Frank had some sort of ID to at least fake being an agent. Instead he had to project cool calmness and get a handle on the situation, distract Hanks character enough so he wouldn't check the ID but believe the lie.

If not it would have played out as "put the gun down"
