Airplane bathroom door opening in

The bathroom doors on an airplane open out not in as portrayed in the movie. I know, a minor point, but it bothers me every time I watch the movie.

Would this be the same in the sixties? Don't know the answer just wondering.

Not all bathroom doors are built the same. The last bathroom I was in had a bi-fold door that opened in from the aisle.
