Amazing and One of the Best Out There

This movie is just really good. I thought it'd be all kidish and stuff but it was enjoyable. I'd like to buy it.

Good, but that chick who played Caroline just can't act.

You can I found a copy on eBay brand new, only problem was that it's a VHS.
Your right! It's one of the best What if movies I've seen. I love Moses Gunn and didn't know that he was died.

It's on DVD NOW!

I agree. We watched this movie in class today and yesterday and it's very inspirational and sad.

You know I've learned a lot about the Civil War but this actually taught me some more. Like I didn't know the following-

- Slaves were not allowed to learn to read or write
- Slaves didn't only do house work, they picked cotton from fields (some did)
- They needed a "pass" to get around the city.
- They were wipped a lot more then I thought.
- If a slave was got teaching someone to read or write, they were either killed, or had a hand cut off.
- They actually "bid" on slaves. ( I thought that they like, picked them up off the street or something! )

I feel so bad for people back then.

I know I got close, but I'm sure it's too far.

I completely agree. A great movie. I really can't believe that it's so overlooked by the major motion picture audience that you would have to scan ebay to find it.
