Indeed, this movie was incredibly awful way too many twists. This just tried too hard to be camp and failed.

Not a lot. Many movies are worse than this one. Even Hostel is worse than this one (in my opinion)
I don't like this movie, not at all. Gave it 1/10. But it is not THE WORST movie I've ever seen.
Just try the beast of yucca flats, you'll see ONE of the absolutely worst movies ever made. Possibly THE worst.
If this movie was not the worst movie of all time, it is pretty close. It was meanspirited and repulsively anti-Southern. It had nothing approaching factuality on the people of the 19th century and would have never been made if it portrayed a politically protected group in such a slanderous manner.
Also, it was disgusting, uninteresting, poorly written, and poorly performed. The production values appeared non-existant. It was unbelieveably bad. Peter Stomare and Robert Englund are simply too good of actors to appear in rank garbage like this. Even Lin Shaye can do better. (Though Eli Roth was probably in his element.)
I liked Robert Englund and Lin Shaye in this movie. Other than them, this movie was terrible. Except when the virgin drinks the acid. I loved that part it was so funny. But, I digress. Overall, the only things to watch this movie for is Robert Englund and Lin Shaye. Everyone and everything else is terrible in this flick. I especially hated the hero in this film. He was annoying and has absolutely no acting skill whatsoever...nor will he. If he took this role hoping it would restart a childhood career or if he hoped it would just jumpstart a career...his filiment fizzled.
