Can someone explain something to me?

Okay, I must not have had my ears all the way open or something because I don't "get" the end of the movie. Did she mean that they had seven years on earth to get his affairs in order before they go back or are they going to be able to travel indiscriminately throughout the rest of their lifetimes?

reply

Since there was a ban on "interworld" travelling (due to what the original Jack did, Magog allowed Ondine a week's travel her time, seven years Jack's time. Based on Jack's last line about being able to take all the kids they would make back with them, I was led to believe the two would spend the next seven years getting everything in order before Jack left permanently with her. JMHO.

That's what I took it to mean. Good thing he really didn't have any family left in his time,

reply

yeah, it is really a good thing that he had no family - no wait, thats right, it was only a movie and not a real person with emotions or family.

You know some people actually get into the story and care about the characters. That's what a good story does. It pulls you in and makes you give a *beep* Just because the character isn't alive doesn't make them any less real.
