Leon is the best thing to happen to curb

The show was already great but the addition of Leon brought it to levels I had never imagined.

He had his moments...but too much Leon was not a good thing. I hate his foul language.

reply

Uhhhhh, like Susie or Larry don't curse over the top every single episode? Lol...

reply

I can't bear Susie and fast forward all her tirades. Larry's use of foul language is pretty minor.

I disagree. Larry curses a lot, there is a ton of cursing on the show and I have no earthly idea why anyone who is offended by cursing would watch this show.

I would say my memory is not what it used to be. But I don't remember what my memory used to be.

reply

Well..I like Larry. I like Jeff. So they can do what they want.

On the other hand, I do not like Leon or Susie.

Yep. He cracks Larry David up, is why.

You sure used many 'H's, did you need that many?

In any case, 'foul language' is not necessarily about cursing, it can be about 'foul usage of the english language', basically assaulting a perfectly good language for no reason.

Sometimes Leon's 'street lingo' IS a great source of fun humor, but sometimes it's just annoying how crude and foul his expressions are, it's just tiring and not funny.

If anyone has EVER summed up my thoughts well, you did the best job, congratulations!

Let's face it, Leon can be funny, but he _IS_ a "poor man's Kramer" that most of the time doesn't quite deliver.

reply

No such thing as too much Leon...

I thought JB Smoove was playing one of two cops in an earlier episode - in which Larry refused to give candy to those two teenaged trick-or-treaters dressed in civilian clothes and then they TPed and graffitied his house. But it wasn't him.

reply

I think jb snoove also played the basketball player Larry trips and injures.

reply

that's a good one

You did your dizzle?

No way there's a such thing as too much Leon (at least not that I've ever seen on the show). He and Larry make a great duo.

reply

The people who hate Leon must be the same people who hate Cheryl. They just don't get it. Leon is gold. Gold!

The introduction of the Blacks upped the show IMO. Larry had great chemistry with the family.

Leon was a great compliment to Larry, always antagonizing just like Jerry with George on Seinfeld. Cheryl was Larry's straight man for six seasons, and the show was great, but Leon coming along was comedy gold. I wish we had a couple of more seasons with him.

I'm better than you.
