Anyone remember a real-life account of this?

There was a show called "Strange But True" presented by Michael Aspel (in the UK in the early-mid 90s). There was a true story on it - which I think this film was based on (but with a few changes).

In the TV programme a woman in England (I'm sure her name was Jenny - like Jane Seymour's character in the film) kept having dreams about being alive in the 1930s/40s. She had consistent dreams - she knew the area, the street names, etc of the place she dreamed of. She also had children. She then found out that the person she was in the dream existed but had died. She eventually found her 'children' in real life (the ones in the dream) who were older than her (as she was in a sense their mother reincarnated). It was v. interesting. I'm sure she wrote a book called Yesterday's Children or something to that effect.

Anyone have more info??

Just looked on amazon.co.uk - she did write a book - it's called "Yesterday's Children: The Search for My Family from the Past" by Jenny Cockell.

I have met the older sonny in real life. He was an old neighbour of my friend. He was from Dublin I think. He lived in Cork when I knew him and we would spend time there in his front room on our lunch break from school, smoking cigarettes and swearing til our hearts content because he didnt care if we sweared or not lol. I remember him telling us about a woman in england who said she claimed to be his mother reincarnated, he showed us the book she had written, and the photo of when they had met. He was actually her youngest son. She described him as a fidgety child. He was also a fidgety old man :) Myself and my friend (his neighbour) took it in our stride. Now its a film, wow have to see it!
So there is real life :)
