Okay, I admit it, I liked this movie.

I always have. Sure it's not going to win an academy award or anything but still. I liked the message it presented. I loved the Donna character and how it was important to her to do the right thing. She got ahead by learning, working hard, and being good at her job. I'm a sucker for a movie with a positive message :-)

And before you post that the ending negated that by having her give it all up for a guy, I didn't see it that way at all. Yes, her dream changed a bit when she fell in love. But she still went on to further herself and found an awesome career that she presumably loved. She didn't just settle down and figure she didn't need anymore goals.

In the end though she chose the guy and her career. She settled on Cleveland but as a captain. She got the best for herself after all.
