WCW had Halloween Havoc one month earlier in October with Sting vs Jake Roberts in a match where a coal minor's glove is on a pole where the first wrestler climbs the pole to get the glove can use it. WWE follows in November with Big Boss man vs Nailz in a match were a night stick is on a pole where the first wrestler climbs the pole to get the night stick can use it.
