Top 250

According to IMDb's "true Bayesian estimate", this movie's rating is about an 8.2, which is a higher rating than the #250 movie "Bringing Up Baby", which has a 8.0 rating according to the "true Bayesian estimate". So, in other words, this movie should be in the top 250! Do the math.

The formula for calculating the Top Rated 250 Titles gives a true Bayesian estimate:

weighted rating (WR) = (v ÷ (v+m)) × R + (m ÷ (v+m)) × C

where:

R = average for the movie (mean) = (Rating)
v = number of votes for the movie = (votes)
m = minimum votes required to be listed in the Top 250 (currently 3000)
C = the mean vote across the whole report (currently 6.9)

for the Top 250, only votes from regular voters are considered.
