So what is the general concensus on the fate of Casper Van Dien's character from the first one? I personally think that Michael York had him killed; afterall he was just small potatoes in the whole scheme of things.

It is said that Megiddo is a combination sequel/prequel because it shows the antichrist as a kid and he has a brother who's good(Who wasn't in the first) so it must be more of an alternate universe companion.

Dude are you blind? This movie is related in a major way to the first one.
There are even scenes from Omega Code duplicated almost entirely in Omega Code II. Including the Chancellor of the World Union acceptance speech.
You can tell that it runs parallel, some differences but some things are the same.

It's connection to the 1st is incidental. The entire character of Stone is completely different here.
