The Devil’s the Good Guy?

Did you notice the Devil kills about ten guys who refuse to worship him; and God kills exactly a third of the planet? I don’t care what way you do your math. The devil comes out the Good Guy, and God comes out the bad guy.

reply

that's kind of funny. I'm a Christian and that's a really funny catch.

it's funny because that is the way it comes out as it is presented. It sort of skipped over the explanation of the bowls of wrath while it explained everything else elaborately. I knew what was happening becuase I've read up on prophecy and interpretations but I can see where someone would think that about it making God out to be a bad guy. Go ahead, yell at me.

reply

Why do you want someone to yell at you?

reply

because i'm just that crazy

reply

I for once wouldn't mind having a devil like that, solve world hunger, diseases and with the unification of the planet end all wars, one coin, one language, one dictator, hell, there are worst democratic elected leaders than him, also Michael York did such a great job that I couldn't stop hoping that he would kill Biehn and rule the world.

reply

Wow. I can see where your alleigence will lie when the real Antichrist turns turn up.

reply

i agree bcampfield. all i know is i can't wait for the Lord to Rapture His children so i can get out of this evil, corrupt world, and go home to Heaven. and i think its going to happen soon, Bible Prophecy is telling us the time is getting closer.

don't blame God for the bad things in life, thank Him for the good things.God Bless

STOERMERDAN- You need to realize that world peace is never going to happen until Jesus comes back, because human nature prevents it from happening, there are way too many bad people in the world to make that happen. Also the same thing with world hunger. You are right that any attempt will be useless but not because of us Christians, but because of those non christians (not all) who refuse to allow it to happen. It will not until Satan is locked up.

Its no one's fault. We both walked away.

There is no rapture, it's false doctrine.

reply

Believe what you will and i will do the same. If you're right and i'm wrong, i'll still be okay, but if i'm right and you're wrong what will happen to you.

Its no one's fault. We both walked away.

pascal called, he wants you to stop using his wager to hit other theists.

Man alive, do I feel sorry for your soul. As the previous poster said, believe what you will. It is still truth whether you believe it or not.

How about this

Scream Havoc, let loose the God's of War!

To those who believe Lucifer is the "good guy" I surely would not wish to be on the edge of Michael's blade, as Lucifer soon shall be.

Even if the ending starts in our day, it still may not end in our time. Lucifer is immortal and God is Eternal, time is trivial to them, it holds no grudge. His war may start around say (to throw out a number) 2020, but could last for 5 years or 5000. The bible never told us how long the war is, otherwise we could deduce the end, by calculating it when it starts.

Speaking of this threads title. My sister, when watching this movie said Awww, when Satan got defeated. I was like, What?! She said the devil looked cute. I just paused. I said I hope this doesn't denote your allegience. LOL, I doubt it but that was surly interesting to see you said Aww to Satan.

Don't you know it is a mortal sin to misquote Shakespear, Cry Havoc and let loose the dogs of War.

Did YOU know it is mortal sin to forget the e in ShakespearE?

Shakespeare is an idiot, and got the quote wrong. It was spoken by a warlord from the ancient times, even what I said was a modern translation. Do some research or take a chill pill before I have to quote Napolean Dynamite.

Gosh, Friggin' Idiot!

All Hail Napolean!

That's quit telling. The devil will not come in the form of an ugly demon but probably in the form of a well groomed, well loved man of power and influence.

I'm confused by your first sentence. That's quit telling. I never said he will come as a demon. But if you misunderstood me, that's my fault and I apologize.

oi, 3 years on are you still waiting for your boyfriend?

and you do know you named yourself after a pagan god, right?

Wow. What more is there to say. I guess most of you guess really believe this stuff.

Here's another interpretation. Religion was developed to help create order, to take small societies and have them thrive in a stable civilization. Morality is our compass of what's good and wrong. Religion helps navigate the way and get's it wrong in areas that are understandable considering the the time / gender of the historical figures who produced those documents that you uphold as doctrine.

Old Test = Some great story telling, belief in something greater than ourselves, the more basic does and don'ts, and if you screw up you will be forced to live a *beep* life. Heavy on punishment.

New Test = A bit fantastical with the story telling. Creates tangibility over what happens if you do good (heaven and how great it is -- hell and how crappy it is). The fact that the divine walked hand-in-hand with man, telling us to be good to each other, and teaching us the value of forgiveness.

Now for the rapture and those who will and those who will not be saved.... Complete nonsense. It serves absolutely no adaptive value as a meme and should never have been added to the book. The reason for it haven been included evades me. I can see no value in creating a paradigm that those who follow one religion over another would be saved and the others would be damned. The only possible explanation for including this would be the conversion to the faith, and in that regard it is an adaptive, albeit more harmful then good, characteristic of the New Test. The historical practice of which, if memories serves correct, was anything but "Christian." IMHO, it should be deleted so people like you spend more time focusing on what it truly means to be a good neighbor, and not be your run-of the mill fear-mongerer.

Cheers,
-Mike

Wait, what was this post supposed to be about? And how the hell do I create a signature?

I was thinking the same thing,at first he will be a hero but then you will see his true agenda!

The only difference in count in the bible is that there were a lot less people then. But, the ratio is about the same, if not worse.
