Michael York sells this movie for me

On paper, this movie shouldn't work. As far as the first film goes, this one is really a non-sequitur. And it's not really an accurate adaptation of Revelation. However, Michael York's performance really sold this movie for me.


In particular, the speech he makes to that group of people in Africa. He absolutely chews up the scenery and spits it out. And I mean that in a good way.
"PRAY TO ME! PRAY TO YOUR GOD! My will be done!"


On a side note, I also liked Udo Kier. Although I'm not entirely sure what part he was supposed to be playing. The False Prophet?
