'The Clash' (possible spoilers)

When Marina was telling Holly about the 'party' at Nat's girlfriend's house, she mentions The Clash would be there. Were the two guys there supposed to be two of the band's members?? I think so but not really sure...I figure they must be since Marina mentioned them & there were only 5/6 people there. The only problem I'm seeing is that their names aren't the same...& surely, if the actors were playing the part of Clash members, they could use their real names in the film?? Can anyone clear this bit up for me?

No the clash weren't there. Marina was just entralled by her older brother's life and thought he was cool and the girlfriend was cool etc. and figured the party would be a - maz - ing. But of course it was just uni students and their mates hanging about gettign of their faces.

To be honest in that scene I didn't think much of Nat. He sleeps with Holly (a younger girl he knows has a thing for him) and is fine with his little sister doing heroine. Not very nice!

hmm, ok that sounds about right. thanks :)

And I agree with you about Nat. In the least, I expected him to tell the dudes to behave around his sister & Holly, or to send the girls home eventually. Nat was sensitive & likeable but often did things that disappointed.

Well he was young and high I suppose and in he, unlike Marina, didn't have a controlling side so he just left them to it. He loved his sister, but it was always very obvious that he stayed out of her life. He was very different from the other members of his family.

Yeah, true, good points, & that was my rationalization for his lackluster behavior towards Marina (& Holly, too, all told) as well. He was not a controlling person 1st off & he knew he couldn't control his sister anyway, and didn't want to. Besides, she was controlling enough for the both/three of them!!
