All my zelda games have been gold except for this one. I remember I got my SuperNES and this game on the same day and the game had been out for some time. But to date I have never seen a photo or an Ebay sell of this game where it was gold. Anyone ever have a gold copy?
shareNo, there was never a gold cartridge for Link to the Past. Then again, Nintendo never made a "gold" version of Link's Awakening either.

The only difference (production and marketing wise) for this game was its box cover/cart sticker. From 1991 - 1995 it had the gold box/cart sticker, when it was re-released in 1996 it was given a "Best Seller Edition" seal, with a (burgundy)rocky background behind the master sword and shield.
The original box/cart design sold between 1991 - 1995 (if sold in a complete set) tends to go for 10 more bucks on Ebay.
