This movie scared the h*** out of me.

I was 16 and it was time to go to bed, but like any teenager I wanted to stay up. I flipped the channels from my bed and Jeepers Creepers on Showtime had just begun.

I wish I went to bed.

I was up the whole night, and had nightmares the rest of the week. Over 10 years later I'm still scared to watch it.

Genuinely exciting, nerve wracking and blackly comic until, in common with so many other contemporary horror movies Insidious being a particular example, the Explainer turns up three quarters of the way through to clear up the main points of the mystery and thereafter the pace slackens and at the end it's almost a case of so what! Fortunately due to the gruesomeness of the climax this doesn't quite happen here, so I think real horror enthusiasts will have got their moneys worth. Full marks also for featuring the most sinister, threatening truck since Duel as well as convincingly stressed out performances from the two young leads. I quite care for JP2 too, not sure if I'm in a minority here.

You aren't alone with JC2. While Isn't as good as the first, it still is a great bit of horror.

While it's inferior to the first, I think it's very underrated as a creature feature. The opening scene in the corn fields with the scarecrows - a nice nod to the first film - is shot really well, and creepy as hell considering it takes place in broad daylight. We also get to see a lot more of the Creeper and its biology, which doesn't actually break the 'less is more' rule, but rather builds on the Creeper's mysterious origins.

I rented it when I was about 12. While it didn't scare me, it certainly was un nerving. I really do think it's a brilliant horror/monster movie. And, The Creeper is such an awesome creation visually and conceptually, though I,and others see traits shared with, Pennywise from, Stephen King's It.

Really can't wait for JC3!

Fantastic horror movie (I hated it when it first came out but then went on to love it) but I don't find it scary. Paranormal, ghosts and demon s**t usually is what gives me sleepless nights. The only scene I found scary was when they drove past the church and watched him throw bodies down the pipe and he caught them looking and stared at them as they drove away. There was something very eerie about that, especially with the coat and hat.

Same with me, My Classmate in high school let lend me his JC1 dvd and tell me that it is a goo horror film(and I love horror film) and I'm expecting some kind of slasher type of film like Scream but damn I was wrong. lol.

This and JC2 give me nightmares for several nights and always wishing that it is morning already.
