She was over-the-top ridiculous.
shareShe was a jackass throughout the whole movie. I came here to see if anyone else had posted about how obnoxious she was.

It was pretty understandable why she was so bitchy. Darry was being stupid, even for a horror movie protagonist. (Sure, dude, go check out the pipe the crazy guy who fender-bendered you stuck a bloody sheet into...geezus, a sane person would've kept on driving and later reported it to the po-po.)
shareYeah I was thinking the same thing . Doubting is one thing . But after the psychic proved herself the sister went on and on . From then on I was hoping she dies a gruesome death .
shareYou know a horror movie sucks when you find yourself rooting against the protagonists, as I was also. I hoped the psychic would get pissed and give them the wrong forecast to get both idiots killed. The plot device in play keeping these 2 morons alive as long as they were was wearing way thin by then.

shareThe psychic had probably said enough to convince Darry, as she first spoke to him and only him on the phone and established that she knew who he was and what he was wearing which is why later at the police station he stopped to listen to her.
Trish only saw her or even heard about her at the police station for he first time and heard the cop identify her as some whack-job psychic that routinely harasses people around the town.
Trish was scared and just been through a traumatic experience and was understandably not very receptive to some random woman spouting nonsense about Jeepers Creepers and smelling and tasting fear. Of course, we the audience know that the psychic is legit but you need to put yourself in the mind of the characters and see the situation from their point of view.
