So I would say he'd probably do anything the creeper asked of him...
Taking in the agonizing screaming leading into sobbing suggested that no, he was quite alive while the creeper ate his eyes out of the sockets. And eventually hollowed out the back of his head effectively killing him so he could petrify him and put him on the wall. You can see other bodies already attached to the wall in the background of the oil rig.

Well, he probably was not in as much pain as when that old cat lady bitch kicked his nuts in. Safe to say the Creeper had no use for his testicles after that I'm guessing.
