What was the significance, if any, of Justin Long's exposed navel in various close-ups? Anyone know? I consider both films to be among the best horror films of all time, especially the first one.

Why WOULD that have significance to a monster who has supposedly been doing this for years? This was his first encounter with the characters what could the tattoo of an unknown stranger possibly mean to the monster? Especially considering none of the other victims have it. Like I said I'm sorry but these are just so ridiculously obvious I'm just surprised you even felt the need to ask.

shareIt may have had some significance to the Creeper. The Creeper had a bit of an artistic flair, he liked to make things ornate, the knife and in Creeper 2 his throwing star---which was adorned with a belly button that had a rose tattoo.
