Music

This movie had so much potential. Incredible actors, awesome story, but something happened along the way.

The first, and worst, thing that I noticed about this movie is the music. It's like Yanni meets electro, or it seems that the music was written by someone stuck in 1988 or 1989. It is so horrendous that it makes me want to turn the movie off, yet I am stuck curiously waiting to see if the final hour of the movie can redeem itself. Did anyone else notice the awful music. How this turned into what it did is beyond me, especially with the cast.

Surely you don't mean the Eddie Murphy film, circa 2003? This remake was originally filmed around 2000/2001, soundtrack by Christopher Young. The film was then shelved for several years due to many problems, including financial, directorial and distribution. The movie wound up being heavily edited and Alec Baldwin's name was removed as director and replaced by the fictitious, Harry Kirkpatrick.

If you are referring to the original Disney attraction soundtrack then you lost me.
