DVD Release Date?

Hi all,
does anybody know when this movie will be released on DVD?
Best regards,
Richthofen

reply

No word as yet. Yari was supposedly giving out some kind of DVD screeners to industry insiders so you'd think they'd get this title out before year's end.

I wanted to see this movie in theaters, but was unable to make it to one where it was released. Is there no hope for me now but to hope for the DVD? :>(

Doesn't show up in an Amazon search (the old verison of "Webster" does along with direct to video Jennifer Love movies...and her some of her music). Set back again. When a movie is released in theaters, as I guess this was last year in July, it is usually out on video within a few months...now a year anymore! I don't know why I want to see this movie. I guess I'm interesting in seeing something with three major actors that was so unreleasable even though Baldwin wants no part in redit...as if they could make it worse? I guess I just want to see this possibly awful movie!

picked up a copy a few weeks ago. It was titled "Shortcut to Happiness" though.

I really want this to be released on DVD! I don't want to wait any longer!

reply

Where did you get it?

reply

I was about to ask the same thing. Informed citizens want to know!

Still can't find it.

The DVD is soon to be released in Germany (June 4th). And as I've noticed that there's no US release yet: there will be English language on that DVD as well (as well as English and Turkish subtitles).

reply

The German release is also in the PAL format so it may not play in the USA. It was also released to DVD in South America about a year ago.

reply

That's right, I didn't realized this. By the way, code-free DVD players are able to play American NTSC as well as European PAL formats. I use a code-free player and can watch DVDs from all over the world. So, check your DVD players, Tony fans!

reply

You won't find code-free DVD players at your local Best Buy in the USA but they are readily available through some independent stores or online.

There is an English language DVD that you CAN indeed find to download, doesn't have any title on the main screen, just a pic of the legs and devil's tail with the menu choices. DVD quality and a funny little film. Could easily be released to DVD, not sure why they don't.

reply

And that is a bootleg ripped from the South America release. It has both the original and a Portuguese soundtrack available. The Portuguese can be removed when ripped. The real title and rolling credits page is an animated devil that floats around the titles which looks a little like Jennifer Love Hewitt.

reply

Its available now streaming on Netflix (as of 10/22/10). Not a bad movie!
