I got this mini-series in a Literary Romance Collection (Pride and Prejudice, Tom Jones, Scarlet Pimpernel etc etc) all the movies are based on novels and I havent found anything about a book this one was based on.

Does anyone know if and who wrote the book, I would love to read it. And since the collection was what it was I assumed they wouldnt have 7 movies all literary classic, and one that wasnt, just wouldnt make sense.

The book would be any one of dozens (literally dozens) of biographies about Queen Victoria and Prince Albert. Unlike the other movies in the collection, this is based on a true story about real people.

It is not based on a novel, but on several biographies of Queen Victoria, in particular Becoming Victoria by Lynne Valone, I believe.
