Yes, the DVD has the option to watch with or without Elvira, but I think the OP was wondering if the films themselves were edited.
I just watched The Devil's Wedding Night the other day, from the Movie Macabre DVD. And unless gratuitous female nudity and girl-on-girl was allowed on network TV late at night back in the 80s (which I doubt) the film was unedited.
Also, the film iteself was in a widescreen format, but when they cut back to the Elvira scenes and she'd show a clip to go along with a joke, the film would be full frame and of a different picture quality. I'm watching Doomsday Machine right now, and when Elvira cuts to a film clip the quality looks exactly the same. So...
This leads me to believe that Cassandra Petersen perhaps tried to find a better/uncut version of the films for these DVD releases (e.g. Devil's Wedding Night) and if not the original Movie Macabre version was used (Doomsday Machine).
Hope this helps, and Unpleasant Dreams!
