Should L.A. vs. syndicated episodes be separated?

I lived in Ohio as a teenager, and a local station aired a syndicated version of "MOVIE MACABRE" for about a year. I was aware of her show from seeing Cassandra on "THE TONIGHT SHOW" and seeing coverage on "ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT," but was disappointed that many of the more infamous episodes, like the "MAD MAGICIAN" episode with the 3-D broadcast and the Vincent Price appearance, were not shown in Ohio.
It was explained to me that because of the way movies are sold to TV stations, the syndicated "MOVIE MACABRE" consisted entirely of movies that were guaranteed not to have been offered before. For example, none of the AIP or Columbia movies could be run outside of L.A. So the syndicated "MOVIE MACABRE" had a lot of Cannon titles (NEW YEAR'S EVIL, DR. HECKYLL AND MR. HYPE, BEAST IN THE CELLAR), a couple Harry Novak releases (FRANKENSTEIN'S CASTLE OF FREAKS), and a smattering of tiny indie productions that were not already part of some other package that could have been sold to a rival station in the other markets.
Can anyone tell me whether these shows were specifically filmed for national syndication, or did they just repackage the original L.A. broadcasts and remove some of the localized jokes? Because if they shot a separate edition, it should have a listing separate from the L.A. version.

The 4-titles you list were all shown in LA before being syndicated.
