Why '19'?
I think my question is obvious: Why "19"?
shareThe age of the kidnapped, perhaps?
shareMaybe the guy they kidnapped is 19 years old. Just a guess.
share19 is the last year before becoming an adult at 20. There's a saying that what goes on in your 19th year will set a tone for the rest of your life after 'seijin no hi' (coming of age day). It's like "There's no going back, this is your last chance to do whatever you want before 'seijin no hi' comes". 19 also became an euphemism for 'last resort' or 'fork road'.
I don't know what is the meaning of 19 for this film but I'm guessing it refers to 'fork road'.
