Why are people so mean to this show?

Good God, have you never saw a four-year-old's behavior or something? Or are you just disliking it because your kid/cousin/sibling copied off of the four-year-old that behaved badly? Because I don't have much of a problem with it as YOU do. Caillou seems to act like a typical 4-year-old to me and I do not want to call him a jerk, weirdo, brat etc.. He may be a bit annoying but the show's plot is what bothered me. I guess it just seemed like a typical day-to-day show with quite a cloying aspect to it, and the framing parts were unnecessary.

I don't know, I wasn't a big fan of the show in the first place, the episodes I've seen, he seemed well-behaved, but I had to watch the rest of the show to see what was wrong, I have apparently grown out of it. What parts of the show did he misbehave in that was so bad that you had to call him a brat and stuff like that? Reasons for why his behavior bothers you? I guess his parents may be a bit too much of a goody-goody to him.
