Except for the fact that Aya is a BLONDE CAUCASIAN. Sorry to spoil the little Asian love fest you had going on there. Also, Madonna bought the franchaise, so if there is going to be a movie made, expect her to be the front runner for Aya.

The beauty about cinema is: A GOOD ACTOR/ACTRESS CAN TAKE ANY PART AND 'RUN AWAY WITH IT'...

Too, last I checked, Johnny Cage was a Asian male in Mortal Kombat, yet Paul W.S. Anderson casted a WHITE GUY...

As for Madonna buying the rights. (That news has been around for some time now, and I don't think we'll be seeing a PE film produced by the former Material Girl any time soon)...

The original Parasite Eve movie took place before the game.

Too, Aya Brea's mother is named Mariko...(and as stated, I don't think Brea looks 'white' to me)....

I would still cast an Asian actress for the role....although, I agree with Eliza Dushku for Melissa.

Johnny Cage was white. Liu Kang was Asian, junior.

My son's name is Nicholas and his mother's name is Mayumi, yet his Japanese features are slight. Same for Aya. It doesn't matter if in the orginal movie based off the book that the main character was Japanese, the movie would be based off of the game, which is a follow up to the incidents of the book and movie and not a restart, so the material would come from there.

Either you are a Wapanese in a blind lovefest for Japan or you are one of those AznPride guys. While we're at it, let's have her black partner Daniel be played by Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa or Ken Watanabe. Jpn rox! USA sux! And all that BS.

Personally, I wouldn't mind Daniel being portrayed by a handsome Black actor....maybe as a love interest...

I thought of that. You can't have a mother named Mariko and -not- be Japanese. Her facial structure looks pretty Asian to me, too. Not to mention in the second game, her blonde hair seems to be most definitely dyed.

Sarah Michelle Gellar could've played Aya when she was younger. I dunno about now cuz she's too skinny.
Now more Buffy references. I think Eliza Dushku could've played Melissa/Eve.

As for the Madonna thing, she doesn't have the rights anymore. Last I heard, it expired and the rights went back to the Square.

its good to hear those right expired. if they made a PE movie and madonna got the lead role id have to kill myself. as for a PE3, please god make it! i love the PE games, especially the first. they should go back to the root of the first one and make a good sequel. PE2 was really good to, but if i want that kind of game play i will put on silent hill or resident evil. hell, a remake of the first PE game would please me. if they make any PE game and it does well, the chances of us getting more would look good.

joel-80,what game did you play,certainly not Mortal Kombat,Ed Boon and John Tobias based Johnny Cage off of Van Damme,Liu Kang was asian,he was a monk,and from what what I saw,the introduction scene for Johnny got it right by showing him on the set of a action movie,so,you got the characters mixed up

Melissa must be played by an opera singer, and as far as I know, Sarah Brightman is the most known (and the physicaly she resembles Eve).

Aya can be played by 25-30 years old actress but must be from New york or canda (cos the caucassian).

Laura Harris and Angela Goethals comes to my mind to play Aya.

Charlotte Church would be PERFECT for the role of Melisa, hands down. I saw her act once and she wasn't that...terrible. And besides, that part would be over the top anyway.

as far as Aya...Keira Knightley could work. Dannii Minogue (with dyed blonde hair) would be awesome. She could fit the persona well (haha not just cuz I'm a fan but I think it woudl do good)

Naomi Watts is too old, she looks like in her mid 30´s an actress around 22-27 like say Evan Rachel Wood, Jessica Alba, Brittany Snow... would be the perfect choice

I think Elisabeth Rohm would be a perfect Aya, ive seen her play the detective role a couple of times and she would be great!! She might look a bit older but I can soo picture her as Aya.

They would have to make LOTS of change to put Michelle Rodriguez in Aya's shoes. But I guess her attitude would suit Aya Brea perfectly.

If not, Ali Larter is ok as well.

OH MAN!! I read ALL of these, hoping I could be the first to say Ali Larter. But what do I get? Down to the last post (at this time) and someone says it. But I agree! I think Ali Larter would rule as Aya. She's got attitude and spirit as an actress. And Aya is somewhat laid back for all she's been through; I think that fits Ali.
