Why did all the black wrestlers get beat up?

Most, if not all the black wrestlers in pro wrestling. They always get completely squashed and destroyed in the wrestling ring. Major Yates, SD Jones, Rudy Diamond, Michael Saxon, Gerald Finley, Hardrock Rickey Reeves, Keith Patterson, Joshua Stroud, TD Steele and so on. These were some well built black brothers. But they were just helplessly beaten down.

Alot of people say that black men can't wrestle, that we are better at boxing, basketball and football. But as strong and muscular as some of these black wrestlers are. I can't believe that they couldn't win not even one match.

I'm not stupid now, I know that wrestling matches are fixed sometimes. But why couldn't one of these black wrestlers win a match evey once in awhile?

Wrestling matches are fixed all the time. There were several successful black wrestlers though such as The Rock, Ron Simmons, and most recently Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin.

It isnt that many sucessful wrestlers lol. i guess we are more interested in other sports. but actually the rock is mixed. so he's not all black.

I am surprised that someone besides myself remembers T.D. Steele!
I remember that he would nearly get killed every week on Memphis
Wrestling. It does make one wonder why most black wrestlers get
beat up? I don't have an answer for ya.

I'm black and I always remembered almost every black wrestler in every single wrestling show I watched. Yes I do remember T.D. Steele. T.D. and this other black wrestler named Edrick Hines got squashed every week on the Memphis wrestling show. Rudy Diamond, Charlie Brown, Michael Saxon and Major Yates got squashed every single week on the old WWF shows. And Gerald Finley and Hardrock Rickey Reeves got squashed every single week on the old WCW/NWA shows.

Don't forget Hacksaw Butch Reed. He was great as part of Doom with Ron Simmons.

reply

Doom was all that! They were my favorite tagteam wrestlers. They used to destroy and squash everyone they wrestled. Those were the days.

i know its gonna sound stupid like but waht bout MR.T i know he was a wreslter but i didnt start watchin it then so does any one know if he would get beat up all the time

reply

Mr.T was and is not a pro wrestler. He is an actor and was a bodyguard. He wrestled for a very short period of time for the old WWF. For this pay-per-view thing they had.

reply

oki doki lol jus i thought he was a normal wrestler

Umm... J.Y.D., KoKo Beware, Zeus???? Wrestling is staged, you used to have your stars and your "not" stars.

Don't forget about Harlem Heat back in the day and Booker T has gone on to become a star. Team 3D/The Dudley Boys, I don't remember which one is black because I don't watch TNA, but they have had numerous titles. Kofi Kingston does not get beat up that much and I think will have a World Title Belt of some kind soon. Can't forget about MVP who is due for a World title too. Mark Henry could be in the mix too, if he did not look like the Kool Aid Man and did more than wave his arm up and down for a crowd response. R-Truth is a good wrestler and gets a good response. Cryme Tyme is always in the hunt for the tag belts but for some reason does not get them. I would like to see that happen myself.

Or was the original poster talking about the era of the show only? I did not think about that until after I posted on here.
