reply

The script itself wasnt bad. You read it even after seeing the movie and thinking its crap? wow. The story isnt realistic, but its original. And dont you dare to say anything that has Bruce Campbell in it has bad acting.

reply

Why do everyone say that about this movie?????? I love this movie!!! It's great! Why do everyone have to knock this movie????

Because unlike you, they have good taste.

This isn't the worst movie ever, but it's in no way good, it deserves the 5 it has.

reply

Does good taste have to do with being a snob who doesn't "just" want to enjoy Matthew Perry's talent in a fun script?

reply

I agree.

Your love of the halfling's leaf has clearly slowed your mind.

reply

Excellent movie, i see every site saying its total crap. its not that bad for goodness sake

reply

not the worst ever, but bad. and since I have a law degree, I can tell you that NO ACTUAL LAWYERS were consulted in the writing of this incredibly stupid (even non-lawyers can tell it is complete BS) "script."

did you know that, in most jurisdictions, you can serve process on a defendent with registered mail, leaving a summons on their doorstep, or dropping it at their feet when the refuse to take the papers from your hands? there is a reason for this: if, in reality, you could always avoid all lawsuits simply by not taking documents from strangers, there would be no way to get most people into court.

knowing this, the entire premise is flawed from the get go. then factor in that most of the gags are lame, the acting is bad, and Matthew Perry makes a fake cow go "moo," it all adds up to one fat stinker of a film.

reply

It's a good movie, my fav Bruce is in it too.

I agree worst movie ever.

Predictable plot, bad jokes. I found myself laughing at the movie, not because it was funny, but because it was so bad.

Only saw it because of Bruce who, I agree with above poster, was under used.

Bad, bad movie.

reply

I have seen this movie and i liked it 6/10

reply

gigli is the worst movie.

reply

I only saw this because it was filmed in Dallas - not that you can really tell. It wasn't very good at all - almost didn't get finished because Matthew Perry had to go to rehab in the middle.

reply

While I respect your having a law degree, what you say is not entirely true. There are certain summons to court that require authentication upon receipt. And one would most definitely be a summons to court to bear witness at a murder trial. This is especially true when serving summons to persons out of state, as is the case in this movie.
Still, this movie sucked the balls of a donkey.

Your love of the halfling's leaf has clearly slowed your mind.

reply

But...but...but...Bruce Campbell.

reply

It's not the worst movie ever, but it was pretty bad.

Very good comedy/romance movie.

I think that Serving Sara is the greatest piece of cinema ever made. It is just chalk full of great acting and wonderful writing. I beleive that it should have won multible academy awards. Every other movie pales in comparison to Serving Sara.

reply

i really dont couldn't care less if this script was so "BS" I dont watch a movie to get educated on how lawyers work that would be BORING...this is seriously one of my favorite movies

Under the laws of some states, substituted service may be used only after diligent efforts to effect personal service have failed. Since mailing is considered as "substitute"...I don't know what you are talking about.

I have to disagree there Joe, Not even having seen this movie before, I still think that terrible porn your mom starred in in 1978 was the "worst ever" Swear it looked like she had Willie Nelson in a head-lock ! Did she ever learn to shave that thing !

In a thousand years, there will be no men and women, just wankers, and that's fine by me.

reply

I completely disagree. This is one of my favorite movies of all time! Matthew Perry is one of my favorite actors! He is HILARIOUS! I can quote almost every line from this movie! I know it is not the most deeply intense movie I've ever seen, but I love it anyway!

Hurley was uneven in this one, sometimes she could do the chemistry and sometimes she, uh, forgot to? In contrast she was great throughout Bedazzled. Perry is a genuine feature film comic leading man (how many are there really?) and although this movie was weaker overall than e.g. Three To Tango, he was good.

What a horrible movie, and why should that golddigger get the Texas guy's ranch? Just because you have sex with someguy you're entitled to half of everything he sweated and toiled for in his lifes' work? A good reason not to ever get married. Furthermore Matthew Perry's character was guilty of a gross breach of proffesional ethics and should be sued for every last penny and have whatever wages he earns garnished until hell freezes over. He's not an attorney so he can't get disbarred, but he should recieve the equivalent for whatever his proffesion is.
