The Royal Rumble 1992 has got to be the event with the greatest commentary ever. Gorilla Monsoon and Bobby Heenan were truely the best announce team. During the Royal Rumble match itself, I laugh almost beggining to end at Heenan's blatant favouritism for Ric Flair.
Just check out some of the quotes and you will see how much of a genius "The Brain" actually was.

I just watched that too and it's hillarious. The end of the rumble proves that hogan is a little baby.
shareYou have summed it up brilliantly. Monsoon vs. Heenan was a match all in itself! I used to watch these events for Heenan's commentary on its own. Bloody priceless! This particular event was awesome. I still remember that bit at the end where the crowd - just for a moment - cheered Sid Justice and booed Hogan. Now THAT would have made for an eventful last 2!!

Do you know that the cheers for Sid and the boos for Hogan were so loud, that on all subsequent Video and DVD releases the crowd noise has been dubbed over, to make it sound like Hogan was getting cheered.

The Best Rumble ever. The only Rumble where 1-30 were established superstars. Heenan is priceless.

1992 was fair to flair. if you want to see somethingalmost as funny as the commentary during this event. watch the 93 rumble. the event itself isnt good, but the lex luger part is one of the funniest gay unintnetional comedy moments ever. heenan toluger "its okay tolove yourself. Give us allone more peak at those thighs lex."

I gotta agree with you about the commentary. Heenan and Gorrilla worked great off each other. One qoute I didnt notice anyone put up was when Virgil came out for the Rumble:
