Response to 'A Few Good Men?'

When I first watched JSA, over a decade ago, the ending really made me think of "A Few Good Men" and Nicholson's "You can't handle the truth!" speech.

Nicholson represented the world-view that our enemies are less than human, that doing evil to them was necessary and moral in order to preserve the good in the civilian world. I saw this movie as a direct repudiation of that world-view, that our enemies are human just like us and that truth was something the military leadership on both sides of the JSA couldn't handle.
