If she was Swiss. and all of her colleagues were Swiss, why the hell did she speak English?

I thought the same, and honestly, I'm not going to see it again to discover the answer -I liked it, but not that much.
There are three options, though:
1. They're all from Switzerland, but they speak different languages (remember that Switzerland has three linguistic regions).
2. The other guy is from Sweden (I remember hearing that the investigation is conducted by Swedish and Swiss investigators).
3. It's a flaw.

I can't say if this is the case specifically for the Swiss people, but I've heard that English is considered as the "common language" in Europe. So if a French person met a German person, and both don't know the other's native language, they might try using English to communicate.
