A few very important questions !! ??? !!!

1. Why tried *Oh Kyeong-pil* (North Korean soldier who was once in a foreign country) to save *Nam Sung-shik*'s (2. south korean soldier) by telling him he was never here? He didn't tried to save *Lee*???

2. Why did *Oh Kyeong-pil* (North Korean soldier who was once in a foreign country) did attack *Lee Soo-hyeok* (South Korean soldier who gave him the lighter) when they were confronted by Sophie E. Jean ... (you know when they were at the table with the cameras etc.) ???

3. Why did *Oh Kyeong-pil* gave the lighter at the end back when he was asked by Sophie if he had anything to say to *Lee Soo-hyeok*????

4. It is the same action and I have two questions about that:
Towards the end Sophie mentions the difference in *Oh Kyeong-pil*'s statement and *Lee Soo-hyeok*'s.
The difference was: *Jeong Woo-jin* (2.North korean solider and friend who had bithday) was shot in his head by the gun (the one that stucked) of *Lee Soo-hyeok* and not by *Nam Sung-shik*'s (2. south korean soldier) gun and then:
- *Lee Soo-hyeok* sits on the bed and was kind of shocked when he hears that in the other statement he did shot the guy in his head...so he did shot the 2.noth-korean soldier (Jeong woo-jin,birthday guy) in his head and he didn't know???
- Sophie E. Jean mentions the difference between the two statements, so both (*Lee Soo-hyeok* and *Oh Kyeong-pil*) did finally change their wrong statements and tried to told the truth????

I hope I asked my questions clearly and thank you for your answer!!!

3. The lighting of the cigarette with the lighter and the whistle was a sentiment, in other words it was the message he wanted her to deliver. Its a recreation of the scene earlier in the film when the two of them meet with their respective troops.

Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man. - The Dude

1. from what i remember, Sgt. Oh (from North Korea who had been abroad) tried to save both of the South Korean soldiers, Sgt. Lee and Nam Sung-shik. He urged them both to escape and cross back the bridge of no return.

2. Sgt. Oh's attack during the meeting across the DMZ, was probably more to emphasize his "official" version of the events in his deposition and that he was a loyal North Korean soldier.

4. I may have to re-watch that shootout, but it might be that Lee (the South Korean soldier shot in the foot) might have been the one that shot Jeong (the North Korea soldier who was also having his birthday) first, and then Nam (the other South Korea soldier) somewhat covered it up by shooting Jeong as well.

Oh attacked Lee at the meeting because he could see he was about to break down and tell the truth. He was protecting both of them by not giving him the chance to say anything.
