So what's it about?

It's a short film that celebrates all of cinema.

What is ultimately about may be up to individual's interpretations. But the meaning I find is this:

It's a satire, partially, of soviet propaganda films. The evil industrialist swoops in as the world is ending to sweep our heroine off her feet. At the last moment, she destroys the capitalist, and becomes the new and improved heart of the world.

Also, she projects images of herself onto the chest space of others, and onto flags, with the word 'KINO' repeated, so I guess she's also the heart of cinema (non commercial cinema is the heart of the world?).

Like I said...it lends itself to interpretations. But it's original, funny, beautiful, and brilliant--and I just LOVE the music.
