With all the vampires movie of late and those coming out soon, seems like a perfect time to bring the imagination and wonder of Castlevania to the big screen. If the makers ever did, they should shy away from pg-13 and make it "R".
As Solid Sharkey once said of the Vampire Hunter D anime DVD,
"One of the extras hidden in the DVD is a complete Sympony of the Night anime. All you have to do is cover your ears whenever someone says "D" and scream "Alucard."
It would make a good movie, but I wouldn't mind seeing a trilogy. It begins with Trevor in Castlevania 3: Dracula's Curse... then we move all the way up to Richter in Rondo of Blood... and finally to SOTN where the movies will end.
Hey guys...I really hate to break it to you if you don't already know. But Paul W.S.(Waste of Space) Anderson has announced he's going to direct the film adaptation of Castlevania (2007) hence it will not be based on the SotN story nor any other Castlevania story and will have very little to do with the games. It will probably not even be in the same genre (it will be action/special effects thriller instead of horror just like his bastardization of Resident Evil was). Castlevania fans really need to stand up and say to this jackass "Hey....don't do it dude....just don't do it". On that note does anybody know Paul Anderson's e-mail address or phone number?? Seriously.
You would not imagine how Paul W.S Anderson would butcher this great series. He is probably going to cast Milla Jovovich in it. I want to yell at his ear: MILLA IS NOT THE ONLY ONE TO PLAY VIDEO GAME HEROES YOU DUMB S*IT!
