The show took place during the same time as Batman Beyond, if you mean time frame in the DC universe.
It was actually a spin-off of Batman Beyond.

A fun fact about the Zeta Project is that Batman (from Batman Beyond) chronologically appears on the show after the end of his own series, making this his last appearance in the Animated Universe, until his appearance on Justice League.
