Season Two DVD Release Doubtful for 'Zeta Project'

The Zeta Project creator Bob Goodman tells James Harvey of The World's Finest that The Zeta Project: Season One has not been selling well and there is unlikely to be a Season Two release any time soon.

Oh how I LOVE awful news.

Did they REALLY expect it to sell? This is a cult series, not something that's going to rake in lots of cash.

That sucks, especially since (in my opinion) the art and story of the second season were miles better than the first. At least I taped the second season back when it was on.

And here I was, hoping for WB to pick it back up.

That sucks. WB should've released the complete series at once... what would it have been... 4 dvds instead of 2? So, like, a normal season set, for most shows! They shouldn't have been expecting it to sell as well as BTAS or whatever they're comparing it to. Of course it doesn't have the name recognition... anything with "Batman" in the title is gonna sell more, even to people who never watched the show but will pick it up out of curiosity due to the "brand name"/history. It's not fair to hold Zeta to the same sales expectations of Batman or Superman shows.

I'm a new fan, btw, who never heard of The Zeta Project when it originally aired. I was really hoping the rest of the eps would get released on DVD so I can see how the story ends...I've become attached to the characters. :(
